My return from the land of the frogs

I've spent practically a month in France, during which time I've been bitten 40 times by mosquitoes, stung by a wasp, fell down the stairs and woke up to find a scorpion in the kitchen... but apart from that it was amazing and it was so hot, makes a nice change from clouds and rain!

So now comes the great challenge: it's time to learn how to drive. I hit 17 and now I'm applying for a provisional licence, which costs £50, most my birthday money... Oh joy of joys! Time to get a job. Not gonna keep moaning though, considering I was given a kindle from my parents and crammed it full of books.

During my time away I've missed the Olympics and also the release of the new Kingdom Hearts game (which I wouldn't have bought anyway since I don't own a 3DS, boo hoo!) However I drowned my sadness by playing both games for the DS and immersing myself in vocaloid. No DVD play so I couldn't watch any of the animes I took with me... but I had more than enough books to keep me going!

Come September I'm officially in my last year of school, then university. I'm going to work a lot harder next year than I have done this year, but the best thing about this year is:  I NEVER HAVE TO DO PHYSICS AGAIN FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE!!! I got my AS results through this morning in the post, I got a D in physics, but it's a pass and that's all I need.

So my mini anime review today will be Rozen Maiden. No, Sonny, I'm not Peach pits biggest fan either and I haven't read it, but I really did enjoy the anime. I absolutely adored the way it was animated and the abandoned doll world early on the anime gave me the creeps. It revolves around a boy named Jun who stopped going to school after an "embarrassing incident" and stays at home and buys stuf of the internet all day. One day he gets a message saying to place a piece of paper in his desk to order and he does so. Shortly afterwards a doll arrives, after winding the doll up it comes to life and tells him her name is Shinku. In total we find out there are seven official Rozen Maiden dolls, each given a rosa mystica and they must fight each other over these rosa mysticas in order to be able to meet their maker ( as in, the person who made them, not God). I decided to watch it because I like anime and manga with dolls in them (on the other hand I find some dolls a bit creepy in real life >_<).

I thought I'd post this song (Yoshiwara lament by asa with Teto singing) I found it on niconicodouga abd had to immediately put it on my iPod, (it was downloading as I was leaving to go to France, I pretended I forgot something!) it's truly amazing!

And, while I'm here... Len is just adorable.

See you soon!

Does the weather not know its July?

So hi! *pinch, punch, first day of the month*
Unfortunately It's been the second wettest June on record. Bleh! Here's hoping to a sunny July! So far though, it's been grey.

I'm avoiding the top floor of my house as my sister had a sleepover and it's terrible up there, loads of crisps and such covering the floor. So I'm on my phone, you physically cannot get to the computer at the moment... (hello Blogger app) >_<

On tuesday I'm off to London. Yay! School trip to see les miserables. I'm not the biggest fan of the play but it's nice to go with everybody! There goes all the money I own in the world on train fares.

I've spent most of my weekend watching Rozen Maiden. I really love this anime! That's mostly because I love things with dolls in them! I haven't quite finished it yet so I might do a review at a later date. I recommend it though, if you've got the time!

Just stuffed myself with roast dinner an- HOLY HELL! Look what just appeared on my wall! I added a beautiful picture of Mr spider thing currently residing on my wall, he's only got 5 legs... that's not right. He's outside now.

My sister's going on a trip to France with the school tomorrow, she's getting to at 3 in the morning, better not wake me up! XD I like my sleep. A lot.

Finally, I went to Surrey university open day on Friday. It's really pretty, there's a lake and everything there! The French course looks really good. Only one year left of school and then I'm off! I've got to apply for loans and all sorts of other boring stuff such as that. What sold it for me were two beautiful words: Free. WiFi.

On that note, I bid you farewell!  ^_^
It's taken me three attempts to write this...<(^_^;) I keep getting distra- HEY, THE SUN'S OUT!

No more exams!

Sorry for not writing for ages and ages, I've been revising all the time.
Had my last exam this morning and so I've come home early! (Yay!) A2 French was a pig, I was told by a yr 13 just as we were walking into the exam hall that we needed a bibliography... I was not informed of this fact, luckily they told me the names of the books they used, otherwise I'd have been well and truly screwed. I did the history question about Vichy France, I think I did OK. I finished with 45 minutes to spare and sat staring at the walls, two and a half hours of sitting in le hall with no windows, I like natural light >_<.

Anyhoo, the sun has finally appeared. Don't know if any of you know what's been going on over here: floods and a lot of them! Luckily my road was ok, we're in an area prone to flooding (apparently living 100m from the sea means your house is gonna get flooded at some point!) so we've got loads more defences in place. My friends weren't all so lucky, barely two miles away it was waist deep in rain water, all the roads to my school were closed... so I had to get the train all week... in the rain! >_< My younger sister showed me a picture of her friends family canoeing in the garden! One of my best friend's school was shut, lucky bugger! I had loads of friends putting pictures up on facebook, one was of a friend of mine going "Look my house is on BBC1" Followed with a picture of her next to the TV. Last month the government declared we were in a "drought" so you know, we had a months worth of rain in a day. At least the hosepipe ban has been lifted! XD

Well, I think today I'll add a few of hachi's songs to this post! Hachi got me through revision this year, so I think I'll post my top 3 favourite hachi songs!

Number 3: Alice and the Sheep's wonderland! I really like how quirky it is ( let's face it most of his songs are!)
Number 2: Lynne. I love this song is and it is the exact length of my daily train journey!
Number 1: World's End Umbrella. There are no words to describe just how much I love this song! I love you hachi!

Oh and as an added bonus, I recently discovered hachi sang, I must have listened to "vivi" about 20 times yesterday on repeat! So I guess I should add it too! Speaking of which... *plays song*

Hopefully I'll be making posts more often!

Hope you're all doing ok!

I'm a happy happy person!!!

Okey dokey, it's bank holiday Monday and I'm lounging on Le sofa watching the spiderwick chronicles on tv. Ok, so Friday was the manga evening at my local bookshop. It was a lot of fun and I can proudly say I won the manga quiz! I was surprised I actually knew that much! >_< There were loads of people in full cosplay (including a Roxas! *squeal*) I won two cinema tickets so me and my friend (who helped a lot with the question about the hobbit, I had no idea!) went to see Avengers Assemble, with a load of e friends. Had my first mcdonalds as a veggie, though I was desperate for a quarter pounder! XD The film was really good! We spent most of the time squealing about hawkeye's arms. I need a bow like that. Ah, got to go, my iPods about to run out of battery and die! XD Bye bye!

MY GREAT RESOLVE!

OK all? How've your weeks been?

Okey dokey, so this week is over (happily because I've had so much stuff to do this week!). I've finished my Physics practical exam. It took three and a half hours... Plus an exam of an hour and fifteen minutes... It was HORRIBLE. I cannot put it into words how bad it was!

Ok, so, um, what else? I've spent the rest of my free time watching crap on youtube.

Oh, right "my great resolve." Well, I'm turning vegetarian again. When I was little I was vegetarian because my whole family was, then we moved to France... I honestly think there's no such thing as a "vegetarian" over there! After asking for a salad without ham in my the waitress in a restaurant we were in replied with "But it will taste awful without any meat in it!" So we pretty much gave up with the whole idea. Now I've been back in the UK for about five years now (That long?!). I wake up this morning and BOOM! We're apparently going veggie again, like magic! Not that I mind personally, meat makes me feel a bit sick anyhow, it's the only food I can't inhale like oxygen.

This friday is the manga night at Waterstones! YAAAAY!

That's about it for life, really. I haven't done much else this week!

And so, I leave you with a video *Hurriedly thinks of what to pick*

This makes me laugh, every time:

BYE BYE!!! ^_^

And so it all starts again...

Ah, exams. Every time you think their over, they oh so lovingly grace you with their presence again.

Well, this week I've got my first exam, physics practical... Bleh, why I ever chose to do that subject is a mystery, I can't believe I ever used to like it! >_< After that comes my A2 French speaking. Possibly the most nerve racking thing in the world, as I'm not so good at talking to people in English, let alone debating whether the use of medical technology is right or not to an examiner in French... So that should be fun. Finally The official exams start the week after that. I know nothing, I'm definitely not ready, still I've already done my English, so that's one out of the way.

Was left home alone last night, just me and the dog. Spent the night eating takeaway pizza, ice cream and watching anime and reruns of Red Dwarf. I honestly love that show! In short, it's set in the future and the entire crew of the ship gets killed in a radiation leak, only one person survives and wakes up 3 million years later and tries to return to earth with a hologram of one of the dead workers, a robot and a cat/human descended from his cat. I can honestly say it's one of the funniest things I've ever seen, even if it's years old! If you find yourself with nothing to watch, give it a go!

That's about it for now, should probably get some revision done now!

Possibly my worst idea ever..

Firstly: Ooooh, shiny new layout!

Secondly: Easter holidays are almost over. SUPER SAD TIMES!
Although it's nearly finished I've still got two days to go and it's my best friend's birthday the first day back at school (I did try to convince my physics teacher to have a revision session on her birthday, cause I'm such a good friend. However that didn't work...) so we're going to have a harvester meal on Sunday. Time to eat a burger the size of my face!

I spent most of my holidays re-watching Hetalia and forcing it down said friend's throat! She loves it now, as well as Ouran High School Host Club. The most amazing thing is that I've finished my homework BEFORE the holidays ended, I always forget a piece normally >_<  Maybe my D wasn't such a bad thing, scared me into working harder....ish.

Next point, Thanks to Eliza's blog I remembered to get a seat at the back of the cinema for The Hunger Games (Thanks for that!). I have to say I was expecting it to be gorier, much gorier. I must also say I enjoyed it, although I think I prefer the book (but I pretty much always say that...)

My local book shop is organising a mini convention on May the fourth. Basically it's because not everyone has a chance to go to MCM (I'm going this October!). So there's going to be an evening of anime and manga. Only thing is I only fonud out about it today, so I don't know if I cant cosplay or not. I need something easy to make...

Which brings me on to my current situation... About 20 minutes ago I had two people's worth of Mac and Cheese, I had my sister's helping because she's gone to a sleepover. That wasn't the worst of it, no... I then decided to finished learning the Love and Joy dance and start learning Bad Apple. BAD IDEA! I now feel extremely sick...

I honestly don't think I can manage this, this girl's a pro!

Also, todays adorable video:
I LOVE HETALIA!!!!
